The Paradise Retreat Difference

So you’ve decided you want to experience a yoga retreat in Sri Lanka? Congratulations on making that wonderful decision to invest in yourself in a beautiful paradise island. We understand that wellness retreats, and specially yoga retreats, are an emerging holiday trend and there is plenty of choices out there when it comes to finding a yoga retreat in Sri Lanka. So what is The Paradise Retreat difference and why should you choose us?

The Paradise Retreat isn’t just a yoga retreat in Sri Lanka and not just a group tour either. It is a yoga inspired holiday that allows you to slow down and unwind over a week in tropical paradise with daily yoga classes and meditation to nurture your mind-body connection, free time to replenish your energy and just enough adventure to feel like you’ve really got a taste of everything Sri Lanka has to offer.

We believe what really sets The Paradise Retreat apart is the host and founder Rachi Perera and the unique set of skills and experiences that she brings with her.

Rachi was born in Sri Lanka where she spent her childhood before moving to Australia as a teenager. Sri Lanka has stayed front and centre in her mind over the last twenty years as she travelled back and forth between the two countries regularly. Rachi is proud to call herself a Sri Lankan Australian and The Paradise Retreat is her contribution to the growth and development of Sri Lanka through sustainable tourism.

Despite all the international tourism attention of late, Sri Lanka remains undiscovered and mysterious. It is a country with so much to offer, yet best experienced through local eyes. Rachi’s cultural background and past experiences have lead her to master the local way of life, traditions and the language as well as all the best places to visit, eat, stay and things to do. This is The Paradise Retreat Difference; a yoga holiday organised by a host who lives, breaths and wholeheartedly believes in the experience that she is offering!

The Paradise Retreat is a balanced program that allows participants to rest, restore and explore Sri Lanka. Rachi has collaborated with internationally renowned yoga teachers such as Ramone Bisset in 2016 and Emma Shridan in 2017, who have been hand picked due to their strong personal connections to the Sri Lanka. Both Ramone and Emma have mastered the art of hosting transformative travel experiences around the world and helping guests to explore the connections between nature, the mind and the body. Rachi and her collaboration partners believe in their combined strengths and expertise to host yoga holidays in Sri Lanka. They are your local eyes and your yogic hearts to bring you a holiday of a lifetime!

But don’t just take our word for it; head to the testimonials page to read what our 2016 retreat guests had to say about The Paradise Retreat difference.
